This blog will be a little bit of an inspiration for the little accessories you can add to your home, I'll try to have it every style, I for example love raw accessories, like these cement office equipments.

It's named Solid Desk Accessories designed and hand-cast at Magnus Pettersen Studio 

The only thing I have a problem with here is there it seems to raw, there's always suppose to a little color, or else it seems boring and without any personality.

Woodcut Maps is amazing, they make a map of NY for example, made by wood, I love it.

You can choose the place you want to have on the picture.

I love it when old decorative frames are painted the same color, they match without matching, it mixes this personal factor with the raw basic minimalism.

What a great way to mix frames and plants together, the 3d affect is beautiful. I'd love to experiment with other kinds of flowers to match the wallpaper like these do, I think it looks amazing.

Again, the 3d affect is so crucial, it makes this beautiful and easy DIY project bring the colors of the wall and the naturistic forms mix with the plants.

Nature, dinosaurs and wine corks

I like this idea a lot for a cute little artwork on the wall, maybe paint them different color, depending on what matches your space, and let your imagination control, pick something you find beautiful and is easy to get in your neighborhood, some people collect shells.

This may become a stepping stone in your garden, or even a beautiful bowl in your livingroom.

I think it'd be easiest to buy a light that has a battery, if you can't hide the cords that you would plug into the walls, if you have a battery powered one, you could hide it behind the canvas.

 This Rock runner is such a beautiful and easy DIY projects if you got flat rocks close to you or someone in your family collected them. They also make a beautiful doormat.

And it might be a fun idea if you got kids to let them color the rocks in different colors and make it a little bit personal.

Here's an easy one for parties, it makes a fun little summer theme to the party.

Another cozy cork idea, there's no need to throw it away, there's a lot of things that you can use them for, it's important to not throw away the things that can me reused, and specially things like this, it can give such a calming and romantic feeling to a room.

I want these candle sticks ! I loved dinosaurs so much as a kid, and it's just such a personal feel for me, but it's also so easy, bright color spray or paint, and some dollar store toys !

personalize is the key to romance

How easy ? 

These red lips would add a really nice and elegant flavor to a livingroom, diningroom or even the bedroom.

This would also be so romantic over the bed, it's also extremely easy, see the how to here, it's not in english, but the pictures show it really well.

You can of course make this in any size, so I'd make a big headboard with a word like "love" or something that means a lot to the people who sleep in the bed, maybe your names ?

How romantic to go to sleep under the stars every evening.

This I find adorable, you and your partner, you and your kid, or your kids if you got two, can make a heart together. It's really personal and that's what romance and love are all about.

I think this is romantic, rusty and old, maybe I'm just weird like that, but the bed tray is something I must make. This almost screams perfect.

A moss ringbearer pillow, it doesn't have to be a ringbearer pillow, it can be a decoration in your house, a DIY tutorial here, there are so photos though. I'm sorry about that, put please personalize, it makes everything romantic.

DIY bookshelves and wall decals.

Bookshelves

I love the bridge bookshelf, and now I've found the DIY for it !
This is so simple but also it breaks up the normality of a bookshelf.

Skateboards are often a beautiful substitute for shelves, skateboards often have beautiful graffiti on them and the sandpaper on top of them can keep books from slipping if you tilt the shelves like this, but here the wheels have been used to support the books in some places.

This one may be a bit pricey, you probably don't have many tables lying around that you have no use for, but if you got 2-3 it might work because you saw the tables in half and paint them the same color or different colors to add a bit of artistic flair to it.

Wall decals.

This one is from the same website, I love this idea because it gives you complete control on what you want to do, it's just contact paper cut down and glued on, you can read more here.
And it can a simple form like bricks or if you're handy and patient, something like this;

And you can always find pictures online and with a little photoshop skill, make an outlines of that image that you can print out and draw on the contact paper.

And if you have no such talent, then I recommend you check out Etsy.com, and search for wall decals(you have already did that if you press the link above), there are thousands of different wall stickers in all sizes and price ranges, you can definitely find something you like there.

DIY projects

I'm sorry for the no activity, I've been going through finals and there has been no time for inspiration for a blog, or time to do a blog for that matter, but I'll make a schedule for blogging so it will be more consistent from now on.
But on with today's blog;

This table is made from different sizes of wood, make sure to use tree glue or a glue-gun with clear glue.
And having the glass on top or a wooden plate is really important, else it won't be sturdy and no use for it unless you want to use it as a foot-rest.

This one is easy, these hangers are a great substitute for frames, you can get them at IKEA.

Sticker fun by Elly Nelly from NY, it's called "Get a grip" and there are 17 little persons you can hang around the house.

Beautiful hangers who don't look like hangers at first are a great way to decorate also, designer Jody Mattiol changed the famous Oscar Wilde saying into a beautiful yet functional coat hanger.

These Ninja stars coat hangers found on ThinkGeek.com are one of my favorites, they may not fit every home, but it certainly is a fun way to keep the kids interested in hanging up their clothes, get them one or two stars each, and hanging up your coats may actually become fun.

 Cute Moss Art decoration ! Environmentally friendly and super chic, you can also make patterns or pictures using these tiles and the moss, like pixel art! Loving it.

 "Kúlan" translated to "the bubble" from Icelandic destroys annoying echoes in high spaces, Bryndís Bolladóttir, the designer, makes them in 3 different sizes, and many different colors, they are made from felted Icelandic wool, It not only works wonderfully and is very child friendly, I can picture it looking amazing in clean minimalistic spaces, but also in a warm wooden-cabin feeling.

And if you want to have some fun with paint, here are two fun and experimental ideas I'd love to try it out, please let me know if you have done it or are going to try it, Id love to see some pictures also.

1. Using a sponge instead of a brush, I believe it will give a funky, fun texture !

Knitting also makes a beautiful wall decoration. 

  If you have an old lamp or something that needs a touch-up, knitting around it can be a warm renovation and make the whole room come together in a new interesting way.
